The new site is live!

After weeks of preparation, the new website for Jamie Samoyed's pack is finally up and running at www.jamiesamoyed.com! This post covers how to get started on site, with links to more detailed how-to articles that we've put together for specific topics.

In no particular order, here are a few things to know:

• Most of the content on this site is only visible to signed-up members. Click here to sign up as a member of the site. Membership is free, but you need to provide your name and email address.
• The site has been pre-populated with content about Jamie Samoyed's pack from several sources, and you can find all of those posts in the History section. I migrated blog posts from my personal blog, pulled a few things out of backups of other web sites in the past, and put together some new posts to fill in gaps in the historical record of Jamie's pack (for example, Alice's ordeal, Jamie's first big road trip, Seattle night walks, or Bloody Dick Cabin). We also have a backlog of posts to do as time permits in the future, covering past road trips and other topics.
• We're going to ease into the transition from Facebook slowly, to give people plenty of time to sign up and get used to the change. New posts will appear both here and on Facebook through the end of December, and then starting January 1, 2026 they'll only show up here. If you're signed up by the end of the year, you won't miss a thing.
