Nancy and George: Wednesday update

Nancy and George: Wednesday update
Strummer, Isaac, and Zevon

Just making an update to let people know we've been searching all day and have have nothing new to report. None of the food and water left out in the places Nancy and George had been spotted on Sunday has been touched.

Isaac hung out with Strummer and Zevon this morning while Aaron helped me search and put up posters. The three dogs were mellower than usual. They all know something's not right.

We had wind gusts of up to 50MPH today, so no drone use and many of the posters around the area were ripped away. Isaac and I went out in the afternoon and replaced the missing ones.

We had several people helping search today, including a sheriff from Beaverhead County and his dog. Two men who know the area well recommended Keystone Triangle Gulch, so Isaac and I searched the lower portions of that area.

We have some locals who may be helping tomorrow, guys with off-road vehicles who know the area, so that may be helpful.

We're getting lots of advice about things to do, but this area has unique challenges, and we're staying focused on what makes sense here, as opposed to what people typically do in other types of areas. There is zero cell coverage, there are no trails (just a few extremely rough ATV tracks), and many of the hillsides are far too steep and/or unstable for dogs to traverse. It's also a very uninhabited area. Much of the time the last three days, I have been the only human being within miles. I'll do a post showing details of this area some time, but right now I don't have time.

Sorry for the brief and slightly negative update, but that's all I have time for now. We had a pretty rough night last night for all three of us, so going to try to catch up on rest tonight if possible, then back at it early in the morning. We'll keep you updated.

For a short bit of normalcy, Isaac and I went on a sunset walk back in Butte.
